Chapter 260, signed into law in 2014 by Governor Deval Patrick, creates new offense categories, establishes domestic violence leave requirements for employers, and addresses bail and dangerousness.

VAWA

Federal law signed in by President Bill Clinton in 1994, provides protections for victims of sexual and domestic violence, including prevention, emergency services and legal assistance.
